MRE from livestock farmer to energy farmer

The project "From livestock farmer to energy farmer" investigates the potential for farmers to play a more active role in the energy transition through sustainable energy generation. This feasibility study focuses on developing local, decentralized energy networks in which agricultural companies, in addition to traditional agricultural activities, also function as suppliers of renewable energy.

The project aimed to validate market interest and to establish a robust business case for stakeholders including farmers, technology developers and energy users.  The practical feasibility and economic viability of this new role for farmers was investigated.

This project not only offers a new perspective for farmers, but also contributes to a more resilient and sustainable local energy landscape.
